Robert Upshaw To Announce Decision April 15

Robert Upshaw will announce where he intends to go to college on April 15.

"Only Robert knows," says his mother, Ceylon Sherman. "I don't even know, and my stomach is upset. I'm nervous."

Upshaw, a 7-foot, 270-pound center, initially signed scholarship papers with Kansas State, but withdrew his commitment when Wildcats coach Frank Martin left last month for South Carolina.

The top-60 recruit is reportedly considering Fresno State, Georgetown and Louisville.

Nerlens Noel has committed to Kentucky.

Noel also considered Georgetown and Syracuse.

Noel recently reclassified into the incoming freshman class of 2012 and is considered by many to be the top recruit. Noel is a defensive-minded center as an excellent shotblocker.

Noel announced his decision on ESPNU by shaving the UK logo into his head.

Noel will join fellow incoming top recruits Alex Poythress, Archie Goodwin and Willie Cauley.

Nerlens Noel, the nation’s top recruit, tweeted Monday night that he's "Gon shock the world !!"

The 6-foot-10 shot-blocker from Massachusetts is considering Kentucky, Syracuse, and Georgetown and is scheduled to announce his decision Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. ET during a live telecast on ESPNU.

Noel talked with the Boston Globe about his recruiting process and how the pressure has increased over the past few months.

“It’s been pretty hectic,’’ Noel said. “A lot of scout calls, a lot of media sites. But I’ve just been trying to stay focused mentally, take my time with these visits and then eventually make the decision that I think is right for me.

“It’s been a long process. I’ve just stayed humble through it, kept working hard, trying to get where I’m at right now. I still don’t think I’m where I need to be at. I’ve just got to keep working hard.’’

Tony Parker Unlikely To Sign On April 11

Tony Parker is unlikely to make his college decision on Wednesday – the first day of the spring signing period which runs through May 16.

“What I’m getting from his family is that there’s a good chance it won’t be Wednesday,” said Parker's Miller Grove High School coach, Sharman White.

“I don’t think he’s just quite ready. He’s trying to figure out the last intricate parts of this decision … so he can make the best choice.”

The 6-foot-9, 280-pound power forward is seriously considering Duke, Georgia, Ohio State, Kansas, UCLA, Memphis and Georgetown.

Ohio State Reportedly Out Of Running For Tony Parker

Tony Parker is no longer interested in signing with Ohio State, according to a source close to the school.

Parker, a 6-foot-8, 270-pound forward out of Lithonia, Ga., has stopped returning calls from Buckeyes coaches, a sign that OSU is out of the picture.

Parker is ranked as a top-30 prospect in the class of 2012.

He is considering Duke, Georgia, Kansas, Memphis, UCLA, and Georgetown.

Nerlens Noel will announce where he intends to go to college on April 11 -- the first day of the spring signing period.

"I've had fun," Noel said of his recruitment. "It's been a great experience, but I think it's time to bring it to an end and make a decision on April 11th."

Noel, the consensus No. 1 overall recruiting prospect, is considering Georgetown, Kentucky, and Syracuse.

“All three schools are great programs and I could see myself at each one,” Noel said. “But the final factor is going to be where I feel most comfortable at -- and where I feel I'll benefit the most.”
